So, this is more of a post to [livejournal.com profile] wilder_now and anyone else who runs...
I think I want to start running. I am horribly out of shape and sometimes get winded after a speedy walk.
Can you give me some pointers on proper running technique, or breathing tech... or whatever?
Also, what's the sitch on running in the winter?
Love and hugs to you :)

OH, and to [livejournal.com profile] coffingirl, I gotsta get the coat and whatever soon (I'sa freezin puppy)... so contact me, or I'll contact you, or we'll try to contact each other and get a busy signal...

PS: To everyone else:
Congrats to everyone who got the testicles thing in the last post :)

So heres the skinny....

When running in the winter, dress real warm... If you feel too warm, do not take anything off!!! The sweat left on any exposed parts of your body will evaporate and make you extremely cold/get you sick...

When you start, pick a slow pace at a slow distance, and move up the speed on that distance until your down somewhere near a 7 minute mile... Then increase the distance and drop back to a slower pace, then increase till you get back to the 7 minute mile average...

Proper breathing(explained by my coach who was also a health teacher)... Deep breath in through your nose, then breath out through your mouth... Should be extending the exhale side to about 2 strides...

Hope this helps ya a bit girl, give me a holler if ya need anythig else...

I might also suggest removing your breasts, or just taping them down, before you run. This will not only make it easier on you, but on guys driving by who get caught up in the mesmerizing metronome of your bosom.

yes... a decent running bra would be nice... and I'll be wearing a bajillion layers, so I don't think anyone will be able to tell if I have boobs or not :)

My reccomendation is to speed walk until you get your endurance back up. Especially since being in the cold and making your body freak out from running is no good. I did that in ninth grade, and I had an asthma attack and passed out. :-(

As far as coaty goes, I think that we can get together as soon as you need to for it! Just make sure you've got the moola, and gimmie a buzz. It would be useful if you were near here too, since I forget how to drive after I cross city limits. :-) <3<3<3<3<3
