Time again for awesome pictures I've found over the internet lately:

I've never really liked Blythe too much, but this is just adorable and I really, really want it. Click to see all the awesome features of this doll
(and here is a Hellmira doll that is also quite cute)

Disney plans for creating an animated adventure of The Scarlet Letter...
just kidding, but check out the imagery :)

There are lots of these Be Stupid ads on the site, but I want to share a few of them here

Just a few random pictures I pulled off my camera:

under the cut )

And I couldn't keep this under the cut. I want to post this for [livejournal.com profile] pax_athena...

I'm not a hardcore fan like she is, but I just had to buy them. Every time I wear them, I'll think of you :)
(also, they have a pink band around the waistline. PINK!)

I also bought about 6 pairs of superhero boys underpants (yes, I frequently shop in the little boys department). Husky boys underwear fits me well, and now Batman, Spiderman, and Iron Man will be as close to my crotch as ever!

Happy/Sad

diello: (FreakAngels)
Things that made me happy today:
FreakAngels Friday! First 6 pages of the new book are so upbeat!
Lots of Crispin Glover.
I got my model 100 button press!
I got to sleep in today til 10:30! And had a fun time in Sci-Fi Lit class.
Kelly came over with the baby.
Let The Right One In is playing at the Dryden today and tomorrow (I'm going to see it tomorrow).

Things that made me sad:
Charles reported that he saw a goose that had been hit by a car on the side of the road, with another goose standing over it, looking sad. I cried.
Thousands of books got wasted after Amazon abandoned this building. Although I really wished I'd been there to loot, I would have loved to see those books get donated to libraries.
First day of spring, and it snowed.

Other news:
I signed up for a sewing class at JoAnne Fabrics. I'm thinking I'll make either a frilly shirt, or a vest.
And I signed up for a cake-decorating course (4 classes). I spent 30 bucks on the class, and 60 on the supplies. Ouch. Hope it'll be worth it.
diello: (delirium)

Also, I have been planning some major sewing and creative projects, including finishing up some projects to be sent out, and ones to sell, and little mini top hats for me!

Also, I am working on getting a 1" button maker (EDIT: I GOT ONE) to make buttons to sell at Tora-Con, at where Tiffani and I will be buying a booth to sell our frilly wares (and buttons). I also want to make an assload of buttons for Voltaire to trade for a shirt or something ;)

Also, I am going to do something wonderful with RUM, possibly on Sunday.

Also, ATTENTION [livejournal.com profile] mooncalfe: I may not be able to make it to TCAF, but we'll see. There may be a way. And that way will be filled with trickery.

Also, GAOL!
diello: (delirium)
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALAN RICKMAN. May the fangirls lay off for a little while ;)

Next, people need to stop calling me today (and tomorrow)*. I have to read Starship Troopers by Monday and am only almost halfway through.
*(but txts are okay)*

Also, people from the past have been popping up over the weekend.

Someone I knew from artconspiracy.com IM'd me, and we talked for a good long time (a conversation that was perhaps the most intelligent and entertaining one I'd had in a long time).

Also, Arick... freaking, Zabrina's ex, Arick, sent me a message on MySpace about my skull masks (he has that SFX book, too). I sent him a reply, then realized who he was, and sent him a second reply asking how he was doing, and that I hadn't seen him in nearly ten years. Then MySpace fucked up and I closed the browser, not really caring whether that second message got to him or not.

And lastly, Sean! Oh Sean, Sean, Sean. I finally found Sean via IM. We talked briefly about not much. How he's doing, what he's doing, and when the last time he went out was. Then I invited him out to Java's cafe (Friday). Charles and I go there sometimes to work on stuff for school, and I spread some bunny fliers and posters around (damn, though. I ran out of fliers last night and didn't even THINK to make more when I had the chance today).
So anyway, Sean came in. He hadn't changed much. I hadn't either. It'd been several years since I last saw him. I maybe saw him once, soon after Zabrina left. I missed him, even though he infuriated me sometimes... he didn't this time. We had a nice chat. He told me about what he does and told me some funny stories about previous jobs. It was really nice. And then it was time to go.

I did get a picture, though, and it will be up just as soon as I finish this book.

Crap. I have Japanese and French homework, too. It never ends!

Happy

The top three things that pull me out of a bad mood (when friends and sunshine aren't available):

1. Scottish Fold kitties

2. Baby pandas

3. Silent Hill!!

Awww yeah! Guess who got the series box set of My So-Called Life... that's right. It's me.
Woot!

I haven't updated in a while because there's not really much for me to update. What the hell have I been doing lately? Not freaking much...

1. Charles and I are looking for a place to live. We've looked at about 5 places so far, and my favourite is a nice 1 bedroom place on Crittenden Way, which I really want, because it's nice, clean, BIG, and has ample storage space. And it includes heat and hot water.

2. I've decided that a really good hang-out spot is Boulder Coffee Co. because I can get a strawberry beer and a big plate of salad for a moderate price. And it has free wi-fi and good music.

3. I made a webpage, complete with my own dot com: Honey in my Gears.

4. I sent out two packages, one postcard, and one letter last week and have two or three more to write, along with a little paper packet I have to print off before sending them off.

5. I got two tshirts, one of which is a gift and the other MAY be a gift.

6. I haven't written much for NaNoWriMo.

7. I have downloaded every lesson from Learn Japanese With Alex and Beb which are very cool and I recommend them to anyone wanting to learn basic Japanese.

8. I took a shower.

9. I ate LOTS (and, sadly, I really mean LOTS) of Pizza in the past two weeks.

10. I also ate lots of salad and am now on a salady diet... but then I found some Girl Scouts :(

The end.

Home from faire early. Slept off the corset-accident pain today, which still resides in my guts. Baby mechanism is under control after going haywire Friday and Saturday (until now, that is; see, it knows I'm talking about it). A tad grumpy. I'm swearing off outdoor faires. I'm sorry, but I am.

Upon arriving home, Kelly asks me to join her for dinner. Yummy food was had. Chicago was watched. Back home again, I find a letter from [livejournal.com profile] icantmakeme and those are ALWAYS pleasant knee-slappers :)

More good: Charles put Chrono Cross on my laptop. Next is Final Fantasy VII. I'm hoping for Lunar Star Story Complete next! Also, the ethernet cable runs all the way to the far end of my room, which means I get to lounge on my bed and surf the net! Oh, and send hw to teachers, bladee-bladee-blah.

Top of the list after finishing my homework (well, it's not technically due til Wednesday...) is to do up the mix cd for my pen-pal Maylee and send it off to Czech Republic. Then I have to finish my letter to Carmen in Germany, and then I have to stuff both their letters with postcards 'n tea and not forget that Carmen asked me to write a postcard to her in German... crikey. I'll be straining myself. Nouns and genders and verbs are so terribly difficult for me right now. But it's good practice :)

I suppose I'll also be shaking off the sick with what I think I'm coming down.

Super.
diello: (what is it?)
I saw Brazil FINALLY. But I was doing chores while watching it, and I have a feeling that if you don't have your eyes glued to the movie, you won't completely get what's going on, and so, I didn't. I do want to see it again sometime. It reminded me of many things... 1984, V for Vendetta (1984-2), Logan's Run... And I swear, X-Men used that giant dome for their movies, too!

In other news, I'm going to Conn Renn Fair again this weekend. Only til Sunday this time. And then I'm done. I don't know if I want to do any more outdoor fairs that aren't local (Sorry Pele. Call me for local shows, call me for ghost-busting, call me if you want me to eat bugs or walk on stilts, but I haven't gotten much of a good vibe from camping so far).

In more other news, Milhouse sucks (there's probably only two people who know what I'm talking about here)! I'm spotting again. And it's come with cramps.

Unrelatedly, I got some Wallflower manga (I'm up to book 9), and the next novel I'm going to read is Everything Is Illuminated.

The end.

Dream
I dreamed of Wonderland University and will be working on a full-length animation, starting with the scene where Alice fails to enroll into The Mad Hatter's Infinity 101 (010101010101...) class because her teacup won't fit into the room.

projects
Charles and I will be working on animations galore in the coming weeks as well as a RIT late night teusday radio show (so RITers should maybe stop by for a visit and say hi).

My computer has bit the (hopefully not too) big one. It once again needs to be shipped to apple for logic board repairs. Hopefully, I won't lose anything, but I risk it every time, you know. I put three new programs for music editing/mixing fun, and then it crashes. I did get a very good show in last week at the station, though.

Work
Also, good news!! I may have a spectacular internship for next semester (which starts next week). Charles has met someone who has a publishing business, and needs an intern for InDesign goodness. It's right up my freaking alley and I am hoping to get some stuff together by tomorrow or Friday to kinda interview.

Random
Anyway, massive shopping spree this weekend, too. Old Navy, Wallyworld, trifts, foods, and Borders borders borders... I spent waaaay more than I should have.

It's very like [livejournal.com profile] locopuff. I love it! But right now, the purple is bleeding too much into the blonde, which was to be expected, but ergh.

I wish I had a cd player instead of a coffee can filled with gravel.
I did it with a girl for the first time this weekend and wonder how many people will skim by that so fast they won't even notice.
I painted a new picture and am working on my second. Also, I updated MY WEBPAGE!!! with a photography section and some other new bits.

I AM FINALLY GOING TO GET PAID TO SCARE LITTLE KIDS!!!

I finally saw The Punisher and played a two-hour game of 6 Degrees with Kelly.

Got a german phrase tape and some special fx junk from arlene's.

My Onion Horiscope: For a short time, your name will be synonymous with spontaneous human combustion, but then it'll turn out you'd been planning the whole thing for weeks.
Anyone who knows about that one story I wrote for my Quark class should know why this is so appropriate (in short, for those who don't know, I wrote a story where I was able to combust on cue).

I'm lonely and I miss Tom. I'm wondering what this feeling is coarsing through my veins is. I don't recognize it as love. I think it's just missing him...

I don't want to hurt or get hurt. I just want to learn the moulin rouge lesson.

Still being woken up at ungodly hours of the morning when I don't need to be.

I'm not sure if I dreamed it or not, but in case I didn't, Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] pale_n_morbid

And quote of the morning that moved me:
"We do change, even if it doesn't seem so. And what does it really matter anyway?"
-[livejournal.com profile] lolahead. She always has something amazing to say. Even if she doesn't realize it's amazing.

work in an hour. Anyone wanna make my 8 hours at East View Mall go faster? Come visit me at Arlene's Costumes. PLEASE!

LOS ANGELES - Funk singer Rick James, best known for the 1981 hit "Super Freak," died Friday, apparently of natural causes, police said.

James, 56, died at 9:45 a.m. at a residence near Universal City, said Officer Esther Reyes, a Police Department spokeswoman.

"He died apparently of natural causes. We learned of his death after responding to a radio call," Reyes said.

After his big hit, James' fame began to fade as he became embroiled in legal problems and health troubles.

James was convicted in 1993 of assaulting two women. The first attack occurred in 1991 when he restrained and burned a young woman with a hot pipe during a cocaine binge at his house in West Hollywood. He was free on bail when the second assault occurred in 1992 in James' hotel room.

James was sentenced to more than two years in state prison.

In 1997, he released a new album, but a year later he suffered a stroke while performing at Denver's Mammoth Events Center, derailing a comeback tour.

In 1998 he also underwent hip replacement surgery.

In other news, it was a rough morning at the hospital and at the end of it all, they said I'm showing VERY VERY early warning signs of diabetes. Not to say I'm in the danger zone quite yet, but I'm skating the edge of a normal blood-sugar reading. Apparently, I have a slight resistance to insulin (sp?). Worrysome, kinda, but not too much. I can still avoid it. They said if I don't take good care of myself, I'd end up with it about 20 years down the line. "So... I've got some time?" I replied. I was feeling mighty yucky, so I just went home. I wanted to go see Sam, and see if [livejournal.com profile] coffingirl was home. But I was just so dead tired. I went right home and passed out. Missed dinner. Got a migrain instead.

I picked up my stack of comics, which kept me entertained the whole night, since there weren't any good movies on TBS. The best I got was The Professional on amc and Little Nikki on fox.
They make SILENT HILL the comic book! You bet your hot little ass I picked those up. They were okay. The art was pretty cool. Also picked up AUTUMN #1 and Too Much Coffee Man.

And today, I stopped off at Barnes and Noble to find the Invader ZIM dvd for mum's birthday next week, but they didn't have it, so I indulged my senses and picked up Verde's Il Trovatore, my favorite opera EVER! I can't wait to listen to it.

So now you know, rick james is dead, I like comics and opera, and I'm a compulsive spender.
Cheers!

-horror movie marathon: all my TROMA movies, classic horrors, texas chainsaw (original), Fulci movies, classic b-movies, maybe some horror porn...

-a walk and swings will Kelly. First time I hung out with her in 2 months. Very fun.

-6 cds in the mail: soundtracks- empire records, moulin rouge, chicago. artists- siouxsie and the banshees, alicia keys, zap mama. I could have sworn I had another, but I guess not.

-the cafe where I worked closed. I had art hanging up there. I went by and it was still hanging, with a little tag by it that said "ON HOLD" and I wonder if I'd actually sold my first painting. It was this painting. I put a price of $50 on it.

-car: mine's still done for, but I'm getting another. My aunt and uncle are selling me theirs for a family discount of $300. AWESOME. It needs some work, which will be cheap.

-job: I got a full-time over at Arlene's Costumes at Eastview Mall. It's only for the holiday, but it's a fuckin' job! Hopefully, I'll be able to score the Twisted Nightmare Weekend off so I can go.

-prelude to the job was spent shopping. I had nothing to wear for the interview, so I went shopping. Hot Topic had a discount dress. A cute black bombshell dress with dark pink pinstripes. Now for shoes. My clogs were the only thing I had, and they'd recently been through swamps. I went into 579 and looked at their selection. There was this cute pair for 10 bucks, but it was in red, and the only black pair was in a size 10. So I asked the girl for help finding a cute pair that matched my dress... she pointed out her favorite shoes. They JUST broke my limit... by 60 cents. So she was awesome and grabbed her purse and spotted me. I put them on, and chucked my clogs in the trash.

Last words: my boobs hurt badly. There are people scraping the bad paint from my house. I need to eat something (and probably take those experimental drugs since my LAST appointment at the hospital is tomorrow!

OH ALSO: did anyone else experience a whomp of late email with Yahoo ? I got 27 lj replies in my mail... all from late june-july.

I am very tired. I had a long weekend filled with good feelings and bad feelings. Good feelings came when I wasn't stuck with my mum, sister or aunt's kids.

Yesterday, I went to the DePeyster festival as always and saw Josh (he is a kid I meet there every year and we hang out and talk about movies, scripts, and other stuff- we only see each other one day of the year). He asked me to come up for a week so he can shoot me into his next movie. I'll concider it, but I don't know how I'll be getting from Goveneur to DePeyster. I might have to pull major strings but I'd love to do it.
Anyway, it downpoured the whole day, so the festival was washed out (but still commenced). We were literally standing in 4 inches of water. We had to put boards on the ground. It was fun.

Today, we went to the family reunion on the way home. I spent the whole time talking to my cousins Mark and Dan. And Mark's girlfriend, who sideshows and teaches bellydance and burlesque. I'm going to get together with them soon. They live in Webster, and Pele teaches in Rochester at Goddess Hour and All Stars.
I'm going to take her classes in October. And we're going to get together and poi.

Lots of mixed feelings going on, mostly I just want to get out of this house more than ever. I'm constantly reminded of why I ran away the first time. And it's starting to piss me off. Now for an early night in.

Oh, and my website is updated. Good night everybody.
