My first party (at this apartment) was awesome. Sorry I couldn't invite you guys, but it was a pre-set guest list. We brought over 5 people: Phil, Julie, Jeff, Tom and Kelly.
The party originally was to start around 7, but got pushed to 9, and nobody came til 10.
Tom, Phil and Julie arrived at 10, Kelly got here about a 20 minutes later, and Jeff (who was coming from a movie shoot that ran late) got here around midnight.
Tom brought burnt (yet delicious) pizza.
Phil and Julie brought chips, guacamole, and hummus (yuck, hummus).
Kelly brought me a late Christmas present (but my birthday's next week, so we pretended it was an early birthday present rather than a 10-month-late xmas present ;) She gave me a Luis Royo art book called "Visions" which I don't have but wanted :)
Jeff gave me a disease! (Does that need more explanation? hehehe.)
Jeff gave me The Plague in adorable, soft plushie form. It's from a line called Giant Microbes and it is just the one I always wanted!!
We watched some good Vincent Price movies, many of which I hadn't seen yet. Charles and I swapped some with Phil, who brought over his own collection. I love Vincent Price so much!
Then we stopped to watch Saturday Night Live, with the real Sarah Palin. The first sketch was cute, but then it got dumb. We watched the whole thing (bah), and then we got back to the marathon.
Kelly passed out around 2am. And the last gust left at 3:30 or so.
It was so much fun. I made cookies, and a veggie/meat/cheese plate, and popcorn, and it was all a huge hit! Yay! Next time, though, I think we'll just settle for pizza ;)
And hopefully next time, I'll be able to invite more people!
On Wicked Labyrinth
Oct. 11th, 2007 02:58 pmAmber and I drove down shootin' the shit and singing to lots of Meatloaf and Journey. Rock :)
We arrived a tad late and dropped off our things in the room (we stayed in a room, not a tent. Glorious days those were!), changed into proper attire, and went downstairs to join the others at the booth. I met Eliza (finally), Matt, and Cliff. And we all got along right pleasantly. I did some henna, Eliza did some henna, we hung around, walked around and ate.
At one point, a bargain was struck and Amber was sold to a fellow with two other girls for a bottle of smooth 10 year scotch, which I ended up bringing home and eventually devoured over the most recent weekend.
I pined over a certain pirate of the Caribbean of whom I captured no pictures :(
A party was held on the second floor and many pictures were taken and promised and never delivered, so there may be fun pictures of me out there somewhere, but there are only a few I can find and even fewer I will show due to courtesy of friends pages.
At this party, I got wasted on scotch and mead and wine and eventually passed out on the air mattress in our room, but before that there was more fawning over Captain Jack (I also got to hug him several times, and oh, flutter goes my heart just thinking of it). I talked to many people and we had a gay old time minus the butt-fucking.
I also met a rad web comic guy named Jamie who does a fun comic called In His Likeness and we talked for a while about how to get noticed on the web (because Charles and I have a comic we're almost ready to put up- but none of you know about that yet, do you?).
Much went on that night, and much was forgotten, or seemed more interesting while alcohol coursed through my veins. Anyway, the next day was filled with kicking the hangover and then I got this idea for something new to put on my chest... "wishing well." As quickly it was said, it was done, and Cliff took me around offering wishes to be granted (and many thanks to him, for I was far too shy to parade around alone). The rules were that they couldn't tell me their wish or it wouldn't come true, and my wishing senses tingled and sensed their wishes, and I granted them. Many people seemed to have wished for me to jump up and down, or bark like a dog, but I don't judge. Some of their wishes may have just been lost in translation.
Anyway, more fun was had. The only things I bought were from Erica Henderson who illustrated Baby's First Mythos (which was written by the man I understand to be her father). I also bought some stationary and a sheet of Li'l Cthulu stickers. I'm hoping to go back in February and get some more of her stuff as well as a corset. And to maybe grope me some hot Voltaire :)
An end.
PS: Oh yeah... pictures.
These are courtesy of Eliza and Matt:
This is me and my wishing well, and a henna piece I did on my shoulder.

Here's some tits (mine's the ones that are labeled for in case you didn't know what they were).

Here's my pride and joy design that just didn't sink into the skin :i

Okay, NOW the end.
Walk of Daily Humdrum
Oct. 12th, 2005 02:35 pmSaturday: Got the stuff from the fridge/bowl on table and started gathering the ingredients for pumpkin pie! Charles made the crust while I roasted seeds (one batch salted, one unsalted). After finding a suitable supliment for cream (we had some cream, but it expired 4 years ago), we began smooshing up the pumpkin meat, pressed and strained it, and then mixed in the rest of the ingredients. After realizing that it NEEDED to go into the blender to prevent it from looking more and more like VOMIT, we blended and poured and it took twice as long as the cookbook said it would for it to cook. But when it cooled off properly, it turned out amazing!! BETTER THAN STOREBOUGHT OR CANNED!! We've decided that his house needs pie, too, so we're planning to go over there for more baking.
Monday: Went to KMFDM, but got there too late to see Bella Morte :( I did get to see Ross though. We talked for a little between sets and I gave him a skull ring (or a bat ring, I forgot. I was handing them to all my friends). I got to see
When Andy saw me, it was like he recognized me from the last show in Ithica, or recognized me as Ross's friend from the last show. He gave me a big hug and smile (with a tongue sticking out at me first) and it was so adorable. Anyway, no meeting KMFDM this year, and no going to Vertex afterward. I was getting tired and had school in the morning.
TODAY I DREW BLOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME from a fake arm with flowing blood through fake veins, in Med Lab class. Mr. Anih says next week we'll be doing it on the real thing. I'm nervous. I really fucked up the first time, but the second time I tried I got it nearly perfectly! And I'll tell ya, tying a toornequit the right way looks way easier than it is.
Tomorrow, I start my internship.
Ministry, missed show :(
Nov. 27th, 2004 04:30 pmWhoever was at the dj booth sucked. She played a bunch of crap off the Clueless soundtrack and just as we were wrapping up our convo about how crappy the music was, some dude we called Trumpet Guy approached us. He went on saying how she wasn't all bad because she played a lot of ska.
Oh... oh boy. Ska.
After the concert let out, a few cool people showed up and there was actually a bit of a crowd dancing after she finally started playing good music. I think another dj showed up or maybe she was just getting a feel for things because she's new, I don't know... But good music was played and they finally put on a movie instead of inuyasha. THEY PLAYED PARTY MONSTER!! That was golden. I have such a boner for McCully Culkin :)
Anyway, Brian got there and told us Dan (dangler) was having a party at his place. Why, I haven't seen Dan and Thary in ages, and I haven't been to their place in even longer and it will be so much more fun than vertex.
It was the ministry after-party. I don't know if they were there, but it was a mad fun party anyway and I got lots of pictures. Emily and I sat on the comfy couch while people came up to us saying how cute we were.
We had a time. And cake. And were not disappointed in the evening, even though vertex sucked. It had a good reason to suck. Everyone was at Dan's :D
Pictures coming soon. Very soon.
I have been massively tired since my return from Rochester friday night. I ended up feeling the lovely job climbing over that fence did to my knee and shoulder, but it's alright now. And I'd do it again, of course ;)
I slept a lot. The swelling on my hands has been going down, but isn't gone yet, and I wish I had batteries for my camera! These bruises are impressive!
Apparently there was a party yesterday at my house. For my cousin, who just graduated. Her sister came in from Ohio, and I contemplated going back with her. Why shouldn't I go live in Ohio? It's closer to lots of people, and it's cheap to live, too.
Anyway, the party. Lots of people I didn't know. A few people I did know. I was pretty ignored as usual. I woke up and guests were arriving. I god dressed, went down, and without thinking, got a beer. It was 1p. I had a beer breakfast. I eventually realized this and got some real food. I didn't stop drinking until 2a, but unfortunately, it was all beer, so I didn't get drunk (I might actually have been social). Some people ended up going to the bar afterwards and I grabbed ten bucks and had my jager bomb and gorilla fart. And half a taz, which I still don't know if it was alcoholic or not, but it was really good for a cream based substance with ice. And then more beer. This is pretty strange, because I'm not very particular to beer at all. If it doesn't burn on the way down, get it away from me, I use to say. But what the hell ever.
No one was paying attention, so who cares?
Oh... also:
Fiddler's Green Sandman Convention. The only other con I've ever wanted to go to so badly was Comic Con.
The Picnic
May. 31st, 2004 12:15 amThen everyone went home, and then 2-D and Sheena came over and Sheena came in, pulled a little paper bag from her purse and handed it to me. "Oooooh, a present!" I cried. The contents? Lots of condoms! Rasberry, regular and honeydew flavored condoms! She'd mentioned she had some hundreds of them and I didn't expect she'd remember I said I'd take a few. Good. I needed to stock up. I've only got one left.
Today was a good day. And it ended interesting, too *wink wink josh*
Good night everybody. I'm taking an early evening.
Pinning Me Down
Apr. 14th, 2003 01:29 amI was under the impression that it was going to be pretty much a cast party, but it wasn't. But I'm also glad it wasn't, because hanging out with JUST cast gets old. Anyway, I found an interesting person with exotic piercings, scarification, and wiccan adornments. I hung out with him for a good portion of the night. We played with potpouri, a spoon and a butterfly knife (which I need now) and talked about being piss poor and all kinds of things. I found out he was Ryan of Tribe F. How cool is that. I love Tribe F. Eventually, I showed him my safety pin collection on my purse. He took one and pierced his ear. Later in the evening, I found him again, and asked if he'd do my ear. And he said 'only if you do mine'. It was intimate, really. In a friendly sorta way. So I got pierced, and he got pierced again. Eventually he asked about my personal life, and he found out I was taken. He wasn't particularly sad (though he did ask if I would dump Jon for him... no). He was a great person to hang out with too, he didn't hit on me at all and that was incredible. Anyway...
I met tons of new people, including a gentleman brit who was quite the conversationalist (as everyone I met had been). I also met a girl who was talking to Brian all night long. She talked LOTS. Asked me and lots of other people for phone numbers and asked me if I wanted to be her roommate in may. But damn, I just decided to move back in with my parents and go to college (hit up the hospital before I go).
The night ended when some girl came into the kitchen and asked for me and PJ to go to the bathroom, there was a girl puking and in hysterics. Some people congradulated me on my new 'babysitting job'. I went in and there she was on the floor messy and shirtless. So she needed a shirt without puke on it. And she needed to be calmed down massively! About ten minutes later, we left the bathroom, with me wearing only my sweater that doesn't shut in the front, so I had to pin it shut. Thank goodness I brought my pin collection.
So I had a great time. I left the party shirtless and pierced. It was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere reminded me of Poppy's, which I miss dearly. And I got an offer for a free bouncer for the next time I throw a good bash (which most likely won't be happening too soon, since I am moving back to palmyra).
that's it
