I am an idiot sometimes.
Sometimes, I will put in my contacts, and it's so nice to be able to see without adjusting my glasses, to look up just by rolling my eyes instead of tilting my head so I can see through the lenses, to be able to see how late I let myself sleep in each morning...
So I don't take them out for a month or two at a time.
I don't take them out until I can no longer produce tears at will to lubricate them.
And my eyes feel bruised after I take the contacts out. For days.
Sometimes, I do stupid things.

Date: 2009-07-20 03:32 am (UTC)I have monthly disposable contacts, and sometimes I fall asleep in them but other than that I'm pretty good about taking them out. Mostly because I've got an irrational fear (eh, more like slight disgust at the thought) that they're either going to a) roll back behind my eye during REM, or b) get protein-y and stuck to my cornea forever :-s
