Finally, the mystery is solved.
Sep. 4th, 2008 08:21 pmBoyfriend stepped on a bee the other day. It was huge, and stumbling around on the sidewalk, trying to reach the grass. I was about to say how cute it is when bees get wasted late at night (it was about 11pm) and then have to crawl home, but then Boyfriend squished it. :(
I told him they release pheromones when they die so their families can sniff out their vengeance and that Boyfriend would have been doomed if it wasn't so late.
I still think he's doomed.
In other news, I made a new friend in my Short Story class, based on common fandoms of Firefly and Harry Potter (she's also hugely into some of the more 'preppy' shows like Buffy, Angel, Charmed and so on, which I am not). I can't believe she'd never heard of Dr. Horrible! We spent a great deal of time talking about our fanfics (yes, I have written one, but it was so long ago that I didn't remember most of the important details, and it was forever lost with the death of the zip drive) and I was almost late for German class.
And in more recent news, Blade Runner is on ION. Commercials are involved, and I don't know if they're cutting anything out because I haven't seen it yet. It's been high up on my list, but I wanted to finish the book first (I started it a while ago, but then Chuck came out with a new book -Rant- at the time, and I forgot all about it). I've decided to watch it, even though I know I shouldn't, because it's a fuzzy channel and has commercials and I really should see it without commercial interruption, but there was nothing else on and when I turned it here, it was running the opening credits and I thought it was fate.
Speaking of fate, The Saw Lady contacted me on MySpace (she had seen in a blog- this one? or one there, I don't know- that I played the saw) and said she thought I'd be interested in the annual saw festival in NYC. I totally am, and we got to talking about yesterday's piano class and their interest in my saw, and Dreamland Faces, and such. I also told her I used the word "play" loosely, meaning, "play with". Neat :)
Okay, movie time. AND cucumber sandwich time!!
