Moment Of Tranquility
Mar. 18th, 2003 07:13 pmLast night I spent a half hour in Wegmans. Listening to the music. It was at that early hour when barely anyone was in the store, so it was quiet. And they were playing classical music. Violins and piano... It was so peaceful. I purposely walked slowly through each isle so that I could listen to the music that was periodically interrupted by a loud voice on the intercom: "X you have a call on line Y".
The war is starting in the outside world, but I've been battling in a different war for years and years inside my head. It's hard to find peace anywhere anymore. Seems interesting I'd find it at 2:30 in the morning in a grocery store.
