50 Things About Me

diello1) I usually wake up around noon.
2) I should be showering right now, and picking out something semi-formal to wear to the gallery opening tonight, but since my boyfriend always shows up later than he says he will, I assume I have time for this (yes, he really can be that late).
3) I'm thinking of cutting my hair back to shoulder-length.
4) I'm not sure if I'm actually going to do it before I dye my hair (which I hope I'll be able to do tonight before the show)
5) I like to be cuddly when I'm in, but when I'm out, I can't stop moving around.
6) I am just getting over an illness.
7) I hate being addicted to the internet.
8) I wish I were able to use a more diverse vocabulary, but the opportunity rarely shows itself.
9) My mind is deteriorating from a lack of schooling.
10) I love knowledge, even though I have a hard time retaining what I learn.
11) I want to write and illustrate my own books, but am not sure what style I want them to be.
12) I only drink tea and water (as far as non-alcoholic drinks go).
13) I am not supersticious against the number 13 nor am I of most other things, but will adhere to superstitions at sea.
14) I find some pagans laughable, and some respectable.
15) I find some christians laughable and some respectable.
16) I love learning about religions.
17) The women of the bible fascinate me.
18) I believe in gay rights.
19) I laugh at the inconsistancy of those who argue that homosexuality denounces the bible. So do banking, wearing mixed-fiber fabrics, shaving, and eating anything from the sea that does not have scales or fins.
20) I think that people who feel the need to be so religious should pay more attention to their religion.
21) I can't play any instrument with strings (except perhaps the piano, if you call that 'playing') for every time I have, strings have broken onto my flesh.
22) I have read Roald Dahl's first book before it was reprinted.
23) I am addicted to chap stick and love it.
24) I am working on a safe plan to detoxify my body in the near future.
25) I celebrate Ramadan to an extent, even though I am not Muslim, but I didn't celebrate last year.
26) I am an urban explorer with Rochester Adventure Group.
27) My favourite singer and band is Voltaire.
28) My favourite girl singer is Julee Cruise.
29) I also really like Sir Alice, Bjork and Rasputina.
30) I recently discovered an amazing Halloween band called Creature Feature.
31) My favourite Japanese band is Malice Mizer.
32) I like colourful pens, but I rarely use them.
33) I like glacier hot dogs, but sometimes I eat too many.
34) I have heard all of Stephin Merritt's bands, and love every bit of them.
35) My fingernails grow half an inch in 2 weeks.
36) I don't tan unless I burn first.
37) I have Verizon Wireless.
38) I have the ten dollar text package.

There is a St.Petersburg dialect (not very common in St.Pete's these days) in which they pronounce it as CHTOH, but I wouldn't recommend it for use by a non-native speaker.
