Sneak Preview Night

dielloI just got back from seeing The Last Samurai. I went into that theater with very VERY low expectations, and came out wishing I had paid to see it (we got free tix). It was a good movie. A very good movie. Not great, but good enough to make me dish out some money to see it again when it officially hits the box office. I might even buy it when the time comes.
There were parts at the beginning that made me almost cry (for a different reason why some other parts almost made me cry). I am only about 2/3 white That's just a little over half. Because my dad was just a little over half Native American. Our family's tribe was the Sioux/Blackfoot indian tribe and in the movie, they showed short clips of the tribe being slaughtered. It was horrible and really hit me when they showed a closeup of a dead girl's face... because she looked just like my niece.
But I won't spoil it. The Sioux slaughter was a very small part of the film itself. It was a really fucking good movie.
