Security Question
Sep. 10th, 2015 10:05 pmWhen I walk students through activating their network accounts, I hear a surprising amount of the same comments when perusing the security question choices: "What a weird question." "Who even remembers?"
The question: "Where were you when you heard about 9/11?"
I was assisting my best friend report the events (she worked for the local newspaper). It's so weird to think that new college students were mostly 6 or under, and moreso that they don't remember. I was 4 when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded, and I remember watching that on TV in my classroom in kindergarten. Hell, I even remember that my friend in class swallowed her loose tooth that day. I remember watching the Berlin Wall fall on tv at home, at night (though I don't remember as much). So it seems really crazy that even little kids don't remember September 11th.
