Oh Nothing
Jul. 4th, 2014 07:50 pmThere's been positively nothing to report blog-wise this week. I've been dying to write about something, but there's just nothing happening. So here's me blogging about nothing.
Nothing #1: The co-worker who splits the week's shifts with me at work has decided to take the rest of the summer off, which bumps me up to 20 hours a week. Other work-related stuff involves making a few new acting reels for Jeff (he needs a new film reel, a commercial reel, and some select clips). I'm also FINALLY taking photos of my leftover steampunk wares to put up on etsy.
Nothing #2: Keep feeling like I'm driving a spike between myself and R, due to always asking for a lot of his time, but I've grown addicted to having a friend who wants to hang out in the real world. I tend to say the wrong things when I'm flustered, too, which doesn't help explain those wrong things. Seriously, am I a freaking teenager?
Nothing #3: Trying to dent the reading list. I'm a slow reader, so I'll either spend whole days in a book to get it finished (otherwise, weeks at a time), or will help speed things along with the use of the audio book. The audio book of Wigfield (by Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, and Paul Dinello) was amazing, and reminded me of Welcome to Night Vale. I'll be buying the book soon. Right now I'm reading Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline on my kindle. I finally reached the final section, "level three". It's really good, and chock full of 80s pop culture. I'd been putting that book off for a really long time as friend-after-friend come out with their own books I have to read. Keegan, my pen-pal who suggested it, will be thrilled.
Nothing #4: Dying of no-money. I've been making rips of all my dvds so I can sell them. Let a friend borrow $40 a couple weeks ago, which he never returned, and it ended up killing me. I've been going through a minimizing phase in my apartment anyway, so the DVDs are for violin scratch (hoping to get a few lessons and to have my bow re-haired with the collection I have). Next will be selling comics (if anyone knows how to go about that, let me know).
Nothing #5: Depressed again. Weird, because summertime is the best time for me, soaking up all that sun. But I've been feeling so down, so tired, that I can't even exercise. But it could also be something I'm eating, or not eating. I haven't been keeping track of my on-a-diet vitamin intake (I never do, unless I feel depleted of something). Yesterday, I was couch-ridden with a horrible about-to-vomit feeling, head in the can, but no release, and gone after a nap. Weird.
Anyway, that's my nothing.
