Day 18
Um... I don't know what tickles my fancy right now. I had an idea of what to put here, but not anymore, so I'll just post this photo manipulation from a few years ago:
Through The Looking-Glass

Most people don't get it right off the bat, but it is a peculiar piece (the title is the give-away). Very photoshop'd ;) (of course, old fans of my journal will see it right off the bat and won't be fooled twice).

Day 19
Well, since I'm headed in that direction anyway, and am trying to whore myself off to a couple of friends in this area (right this minute, actually), I have to say, one of my talents is in Photoshop. I learned photoshop (and could actually teach it) years before I ever took a class for it. I particularly love doing photo manipulations and touch-ups :)

Character Name: Baxter Potassi
Genre: Quirky Romance
Describe the Character Physically in Your Own Words: He's certainly not what we intellectuals would call a totally buff hottie, but he's not an eye-sore. If you broke it down to a molecular level and just paid attention to what's in his head, it'd be hard to decide if he's best-bud material, or your next big crush.
One Line Description of Character: Baxter had two ways with women: One was straight for the nearest exit, and the other was straight into her heart.
Tell Us About the Character: A proverbial 'ladies man' in that, if he's not getting a slap in the face, he's getting a drink poured over his head, and that would drive him to crocodile tears right there in the bar, club, cafe, or whatever. The next woman to see him would be trying her best Florence Nightengale on him. And that always worked.
Who are the flowers for? The flowers were for the next pretty face that walked by alone and looking for a quick pick-me-up. Baxter wasn't that great a human being, but he wasn't half-bad either.

What is this Place Called and Where is it?: The Sentinel on 55 Cancri e
Genre of Story: Young Adult Sci-Fi
Describe the Place in Your Own Words: It's a sort of man-made Stonehenge made of steel instead of stone, and it is grounded in a large sand-pit. The metal sculpture is meant to attract lightning.
What Happens at this Place in the Story?: Creatures from all around the universe travel here to dig around in the sand for beautiful glass trinkets (a rare and expensive jewelry material) created when the lightning strikes The Sentinel. It is a dangerous plight, for one never knows when lightning will strike again. And this is the reason that it is a right-of-passage into married life for young men.
What's a Day Like Here? The Sentinel is a dangerous place to lollygag around, and no one is allowed near it after nightfall, but the surrounding area is always busy with tourists. One can sit atop the skyscrapers to watch the lightning strike, which is most beautiful to see at dusk.
How far away is the closest building and what's there? The closest building is a hotel for tourists, about four Earth-miles away. It's the most expensive hotel one can stay, but tourists claim it is worth the price of being first on the scene in the morning.
