TCAF and Kid Koala!

I really wanted to do SOMETHING (else) while I'm in Toronto for TCAF, and was pleasantly surprised to get a note from TCAF today that said what I can do!

Charles is a BIG fan of Kid Koala, so I practically woke the dead calling him when I got this message:

"Hey folks, if you're already in Toronto we strongly urge you to check out KID KOALA AT LEE'S PALACE. The doors opened at 8:30, but Kid Koala isn't going on until 10 and then he's playing for a couple of hours. Tickets are $20 flat at the door, 19+, and it's going to be a seriously amazing time."

We will just BARELY make it. If there's not much traffic/construction on the QEW on the way in, that is. And if Charles can end class early today.

Also, for extra credit, I saw a free viewing of a French film called Orchestra Seats, with Cecil de France (who I LOVED in Around the World in 80 Days).

But I hated this movie. Too many plot holes, too much like a Woody Allen movie, and it almost totally ruined classical music for me (I'm sorry, a Steinway is nice for practice, but you simply can't squeeze an elegant tune out of anything less than a Bösendorfer for a big concert).

I was so upset that I didn't like it because I was afraid to offend my French teacher, but he didn't seem to mind. I hate not liking movies that everyone else loves.

(edit): No, I totally just bought it. I wish I had it for today so people from Whitechapel will recognize me at TCAF. Instead, I will have a FreakAngels temporary tattoo on my arm.
