I <3 Satan!!!!

I just got back from orientation at MCC. My tour guide was a bitch.

The first thing she had our group do was get everyone in a circle and introduce ourselves. "You go first," she said to me. Okay, I went. And with no response to anything I had actually said, she looks at me and says "Do you really like Satan?" She was referring to the pin given to me by icantmakeme that says "I <3 Satan"

I was dumbfounded! Here I am introducing myself to a group of people I don't know, and she critically questions my possible religious beliefs in front of everyone? I said no, only to save the hassle of having to explain that I do love him, as a favourite literary character of fiction. I wasn't about to call someone else's religion fiction right then and there.

"So why do you wear it?" "Because my friend gave it to me." "Oh. Who's next?"

That alienation stayed with me all day, and she gave me the brush-off as much as she could the rest of the tour, too.
