Coin Locker Babies
Jan. 12th, 2008 06:28 amI forgot to mention that I finally got around to finishing Kamikaze Girls (by Novala Takemoto) and The Vile Village (by Lemony Snicket). Both quick reads and very fun. My next endeavor is Ryu Murakami's Coin Locker Babies. I reached chapter five last night before being knocked out by some finally-acquired sleeping pills. It's really good. If you ever pick it up, don't be swayed by the first sentence. You'll see what I mean.
Also, I recently learned that Coin Locker Babies was the first name for my favourite Japanese band The Pillows (most famous for the soundtrack to FLCL)
And the band Miyavi's song Coin Locker Babies has nothing to do with the book (he never read it).
Also, there's a movie in the works. It stars Val Kilmer, Tadanobu Asano and Asia Argento. Yeah... I said Val Kilmer. Weird. My guess is that he'll play Gazelle. At least I hope so. It's directed by Jordan Galland, and also Sean Lennon is involved in it. Not really my cuppa tea.

You know what else isn't my cuppa tea? The dog with really bad (and noisy) gas!
