May. 22nd, 2003 11:55 pmA few weeks ago at Wendy's, Jon, Mike and I were discussing (as we were ordering) how it was okay to make fun of canadians because there was no real difference between us and them. And suddenly, our order-taker burst out laughing.
Moments ago, at the corner store, I pointed out a french taffy candy bar to jon. He said "put that down! It's french!" And I pointed at myself and said "i'm french." and he said "but it'll make you want to surrender to the germans." And Jon is german. So I said "I already surrender to germans" as I pointed at him. And our cashier suddenly burst out laughing.
On an unrelated note:
The porn store will probably not hire me. I went in today on my lunch break (to the further one on monroe ave) and talked to the guy like he asked me to. He told me he didn't want to hire college students because he hates working around their scheduals. I told him that I could work the times he wanted me to work (with a little adjusting of my last period schedual), which was 4 to midnight on teusdays-sundays. I wanted this job so badly because it paid 9 bucks an hour and was full-time. I could have my surgery money in no time flat (what surgery, you ask... getting my bad teeth extracted- I have a broken one, one with a hole in it, and I need a wisdom taken out for good measure). I tried and tried negotiating with him and got a "look, here's what I'll do... I'll think about it" and he put little question marks on my app. Fucker. I've got a cute girl card, damnit! I'll bring you business!!!
So I'm going to get a job at my school working possibly 4 or 5 hours a week on 6 bucks an hour. But it's gas money until I get a real job, right? Sigh...
Anyone got a watch with an alarm on it I can use for a couple months?
