Mystery Science Theater 2099: Doom
Dec. 15th, 2005 11:44 pmThis may not be news, but I'd just like to say this as I've said it a million times before. THE ROCK CANNOT ACT!
Doom was closing at the dirt theater last night, so Charles took me to see it. By the time Charles wanted to leave (long after I wanted to leave), the movie had sucked me in. I was having a lot of fun making fun of it at every chance I could. Plus I wanted to see The Rock die. He kept looking at the camera and delivering his big one-liners in a way that made me want to stab pencils into my ears. It didn't help that the movie was in mono.
Charles was SO HAPPY when they actually had the videogame scene at the end. And the videogame end credits coupled with Nine Inch Nails (who are COMING TO ROCHESTER!!) and after that, we took off to Jay's for yummy tuna melt time.
And now I'm at work... my last day. Looks like they're going to be real cheap-asses and not hire me. Their loss. My supervisor was suppose to work on this book too, but hasn't. I'll bet he doesn't know how much he's gonna need me when I'm gone. My deal to him was to finish 2 more chapters then charge 30 bucks a chapter after that. I'm rating at $11 an hour, and chopping it down to ten for him. I was hoping he'd bite. I need a job!
Anyway, I have to get back to doing this dumb thing. But I'm not happy about it.
Thankfully, Charles's brother Jeff gave me (what? no, not herpes, you sick fuck!) KRAFTWERK's The Mix which I uploaded to my computer and haven't stopped listening to it. That makes me a very happy diello!
