Old Sketchebooks (no. 1)

In the midst of clearing out my studio to prepare it for new projects, I dumped a LOT of old sketchbooks, but wanted to save a lot of the sketches, even if they were copies of others' art, or in another artist's style, or just doodles (I tossed the downright shit-tacular stuff, though). The result is three huge piles of sketches which I'm planning to make into videos. I've already made the first one, and the next was supposed to be done Sunday night, but, you know, the friend-fight happened. But I'm going to make the other two this week. The series is as follows:
1- random sketches
2- comics/concepts (roughs)
3- pet comic book project called "I Married James Hook" (this will be shorter, since most of the material is in writing, and that's just not that interesting in a video). I will write more about IMJH when I post that video.

I love the idea of making the old sketches into a video. Very creative. The sketches are awesome too!

What an ingenious way to keep a record of old sketches!

Thanks! Yeah, I figured it was a pretty good way to preserve them after I store them away forever :)

This year, I decided to start a tradition of boxing up my art every year (I do an actual video of the art one). This set of picture videos is just for sketches. And I highly encourage you to steal the idea if you are inclined ;)

That's a really neat idea!

I love a lot of your sketches! You've got some talent!
