Oh... I thought Neverwhere was great (one of my all-time favourite books, really), but I agree, his shorts are better. I've tried starting Anasazi Boys and American Gods, but they just didn't suck me in (I don't think he really has much of a way with NAMING his characters- I mean really, just about NO creativity in that department in Neverwhere, but in that one, it seemed somehow appropriate).
